Prarthana Banikya

Founder and Curator

Prarthana spent her formative years in the valleys of Northeastern India from where she draws inspiration for her writing. A graduate in Sociology from Miranda House with a certificate in poetry from the London School of Journalism, her writings, photographs, and initiatives have appeared in Scroll, Mid-Day, Architectural Digest, Asia Writes, Aaduna, Namnai, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of the 2018 Orange Flower Award for poetry, a Pushcart prize nominee, and has conducted writing workshops for the Oxford Poetry Library. She works as a Senior Learning and Development Lead at ansrsource. Her work can be read at https://prarthanabanikya.in.

Shiron Antony

Managing Editor, Poetry, Flash Fiction, and Essays

Shiron is a mindless consumer of words, still and moving images, philosophies, music, and food. He studied English language and literature and journalism and works for a computer manufacturer as a writer, coach, and auditor. When not working, you’ll find him watching arthouse or horror films, reading from his phone or an actual book, cooking or eating, walking or cycling, or talking to cats, cows, or dogs. He is a fervent advocate of terse sentences and anti-natalism.

Juti Deka

Flash Fiction and Essay Editor

Juti (which means jasmine in Assamese) was born and raised in Guwahati, Assam, and currently lives in Bangalore. Juti is an editor by profession with a postgraduate degree in English Language and Literature. She’s also a trained Odissi dancer and occasionally likes experimenting with folk and contemporary dance styles. She loves dogs, traveling and baking (in no particular order) and dreams of being a pet parent someday.

Parinitha Konanur

Art and Illustrations Advisor

Parinitha is an artist, illustrator and designer with a degree in Fine Arts from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. She is particularly passionate about urban and travel sketching and believes that sketching is the one of the most effective ways to slow down, observe and learn about our surroundings in a fast-paced world. Parinitha is the author and illustrator of the upcoming Children’s Book Ajji and Mili into the Forest.

Coordinator, 10 Questions

Lucy is passionate about the rich, unexplored oral and visual histories of North-East India. She has a degree in history from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, where her interest in these hidden narratives grew. Her love for writing and art has led her to contribute several articles and illustrations in various student journals. In her free time, she enjoys karaoke, illustrating, and taking long nature walks.

When she’s not working, she can be found sitting by a window reading a book, drinking copious amounts of tea, or watching movies.
